3rd Documentary Interview Wrapped

The third and final shoot for the upcoming documentary feature about my life took place at Shocker Studios, part of Wichita State University. Led by filmmakers Adam Knapp and Kenny Linn, this final interview served as the capstone to a project that has been years in the making. Filming on campus felt fitting—rooted in learning, reflection, and the careful telling of a story that continues to unfold.

This interview focused specifically on God’s transformative work in my life during incarceration—how confinement became, paradoxically, a place of formation rather than destruction. Much of the conversation centered on Scripture memorization, not as a performance or productivity exercise, but as a lifeline. In an environment stripped of privacy, stability, and control, hiding Scripture in my heart became a way of anchoring myself to truth when everything else felt unstable. The Word didn’t just inform my thinking; it reshaped my interior life.

As the documentary moves into post-production, I’m deeply grateful for the care Adam and Kenny have taken in telling this story with honesty and restraint. This final shoot marked the end of filming, but not the end of the work God is doing. My hope is that this film points beyond my own story to what is possible when Scripture is allowed to dwell richly in a person—even, and perhaps especially, in the most unlikely places
